The Simulation Laboratory is a dedicated facility for pre-clinical training for College of Dentistry students starting from the second year, with a capacity to accommodate up to 31 students at a time. In the third year, students continue comprehensive hands-on training across various dental specialties, preparing them for clinical practice in the fourth year. The simulation units (Phantom head units) are equipped with advanced tools, including a microscope and a digital screen, allowing for precise monitoring and enhancing the students’ practical learning experience.
The Dental Prosthodontics Training Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity for 26 students. It is used to teach various aspects of prosthodontics starting from the second year. The laboratory provides hands-on training in dental materials and techniques, as well as practical experience in removable prosthodontics. It is also equipped with the latest technologies, including Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) units, providing an ideal environment for developing students’ skills in the field of dental prosthodontics.
The college has incorporated the Anatomage platform and its software into the Digital Anatomy Laboratory since the launch of the program in 2015. The laboratory can accommodate up to 30 students at a time. Teaching anatomy using the digital lab is an essential component of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery program, allowing students to explore and understand the detailed structures of the human body and apply this knowledge in the subsequent clinical stages of their studies.
The college includes two fully equipped computer laboratories, each with a capacity of 24 students, providing a total of 48 student workstations. The labs are equipped with modern computers, projectors, and instructional boards, creating an interactive environment for teaching and learning. Students use these laboratories to take electronic exams, view virtual histology slides, and attend selected lectures. The labs are also used to conduct Objective Structured Practical Examinations (OSPE) in the anatomy course, supporting a comprehensive educational experience.
The college library includes 20 study seats and is equipped with 4 computers and audiovisual facilities. It houses 308 essential references in the field of dentistry to meet the academic needs of students and faculty members. The library is open to all college affiliates throughout the week, providing a quiet and suitable environment for reading, research, and borrowing.
The college clinics comprise 100 state-of-the-art dental units manufactured by KAVO, distributed across four clinical zones within the college building, where students and interns receive their practical training. The treatment complex provides free services to the public, university staff, and their families. Services cover multiple specialties, including pediatric dentistry, periodontology, preventive dentistry, prosthodontics, fixed prostheses, oral surgery, as well as general examinations and diagnostic services, making it a comprehensive center for oral healthcare.
